Located in Wake Forest and Clayton, North Carolina, our practice's top priority is to provide you the highest quality and affordable orthodontic care in a friendly, comfortable environment. We utilize the latest technological advances in the industries, such as self-ligating brackets like Damon® Braces, MARA (mandibular anterior repositioning appliance) appliance, and Invisalign® for adults and teens who fit the criteria. Along with the latest advancement in computer technology, we use digital imaging including three dimensional xrays to better diagnose and treat our patients.

Meet Our Doctor
Britt D. Vinson, D.D.S., M.S.D., P.A.
In pursuit of excellence in his orthodontic profession, Dr. Vinson is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Vinson strives to bring the latest techniques and technology to his orthodontic practice. This is achieved by keeping abreast of the most recent studies and research while participating in numerous continuing education courses.
Dr. Vinson was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He graduated from Ravenscroft School in 1986 where he played football, basketball and tennis. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he majored in Biology and graduated in 1991. While remaining at UNC-Chapel, he attended dental school and graduated in 1994. While at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, he was active in the American Student Dental Association.
Pursuing his childhood dream of becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Vinson furthered his post-dental school education by attending an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the prestigious Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He remained in Pennsylvania and attended Temple University School of Orthodontics where he received his Master of Science in Dentistry in 1997.
Dr. Vinson studied and researched under several exceptional mentors throughout his educational journey. He contributed at every institute by researching, presenting and publishing on various topics including tooth eruption through bone grafts in cleft palate patients and the influence of growth factors and their effects on tooth eruption.
Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Vinson is devoted to spending time with his wife, Tammy, and their three children. He and his family are active members at Grace Community Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. His interests include running marathons, scuba diving and daily participation in his children’s activities. His “gift of design” with his hands also transfers to his personal life at home where he enjoys wood carving and boatbuilding.
Meet Our Staff
Scheduling Coordinator
Leanne joined Vinson Orthodontics in 2009, as the scheduling coordinator. She is from Greenville, North Carolina and now resides in the Clayton, North Carolina area. She has twenty years of experience in the dental and medical field. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and traveling to different islands (she loves the beach!). She has two sons in their 20s, Trey and Aaron and we cannot forget "Gracie" her fur baby. Leanne is also a HUGE ECU Fan!
Daisha Thomas- Clinical Assistant
Daisha is from Indiana but currently resides in Four Oaks. She moved to North Carolina from Michigan with her husband, Josh. They have a son, Austin, who was born in 2010. In 2004, she began her career in orthodontics where she loves seeing all of the beautiful smiles being created! Her favorite pastimes include visits to the beach and boat rides on Lake Jordan.

Angie Long- Clinical Assistant/Records
Angie is a North Carolina Native. She currently resides in Durham with her husband Dennis. They have one son named Nick. Angie was a stay at home mom for many years. However ,now that her son is older , she is very excited to return to the wonderful world of Orthodontics. Angie enjoys running on a daily basis with her husband. They also enjoy doing volunteer work together, especially working with youth. Angie also participates in mission trips. Her favorite trips have been to Honduras and Puerto Rico.
Clinical Assistant
Chelsie is from Altavista, Virginia! She moved to North Carolina and started at Vinson Orthodontics in 2015. She has been married to her husband for 24 years and together they have two children. Chelsie loves to bake, craft, and spend time at the beach. She started as a dental assistant in general dentistry until she found her true calling for orthodontics. She is passionate about patient care and seeing the beautiful smile evolve from orthodontics as well as the patients satisfaction! Her heart is especially dedicated to rescue cats and she has a very special Siamese rescue named Zazzue!
